Use your own AI agent

Glassknock performs the checks. Your AI agent can run the tool and explain the measured results. The included skill is a set of instructions for that work.

Use an agent that can run commands on the receiving computer, such as Codex or Claude Code. Complete the setup in First check first. The skill does not provide network access to a camera.

Install the skill

Choose the commands for your agent. Run them from the Glassknock project folder.

For Codex:

These locations follow the Codex documentation and Claude Code documentation. File copying was checked; discovery and complete workflows in both hosts remain unverified. Confirm that your agent discovers glassknock-diagnose; use its setup guide if it does not.

Give the agent a clear task

Give it the executable path and the local feed-file path. You can use this request:

Use the Glassknock diagnostic skill to check the feed in my local settings file. Test only that feed. Explain what passed, what needs work, and what remains unknown. Keep the report for comparison. Do not change equipment settings. Have me enter the viewing account locally if it is needed.

Keep passwords out of the conversation. For a protected feed, enter the viewing account locally. If your agent cannot provide an interactive terminal, run the credential check yourself with a new output filename, then give the agent the saved report’s path.

Read the explanation with the report

The agent must preserve the measured states. Unknown and Not checked are not a pass. It can suggest a cause, but it must identify that cause as a suggestion. A missing local decoder does not establish a camera fault.

Choose a feed label that is safe to share. Glassknock reports omit credentials and the video address, but include the label and measured results. Your agent provider may receive reports that the agent reads. Keep the feed configuration and any credential source local.

Use Understand the result to check the explanation. Use Correct and repeat after an approved correction. Advanced credential input and JSON options are in Advanced commands.
